ETPN RegMed WG Webinar on Panbio-electronics
On Thursday, 31 August 2017, from 15:00 to 16:00 CEST, the eighth from the series of webinars organized by AMIRES and the ETPN Regenerative Medicine Working Group (RegMed WG) will take place. A presentation titled „Panbio-electronics“ will be given by Assoc. Recent decades have seen the rise of a range of tools and technologies for interfacing technological and biological systems. There has been a consistent focus on animal and mammalian applications, particularly relating to neuroscience, and organic electronics have emerged as an ideal component in these applications. However, it has been recently shown that organic electronics can also be applied to augment plant systems, bringing decades of anthropocentric R&D to the plant kingdom. In his talk, prof. Simon will introduce his team’s recent advances and results in animal-focused and plant-focused “panbio-electronics”.
The ETPN RegMed WG webinars are open to both ETPN members and non-members. By presenting recent advancement of ETPN members in the Regenerative Medicine field, these webinars aim to improve know how exchange, identification of key European experts and a wider networking between ETPN members (e.g. for collaborative projects). It is also intended to keep webinars open for ETPN non-members, particularly for industrial companies, to facilitate cooperation between researchers and enterprises (mainly SMEs).
