Innovation Performance in EU Countries

If you wish to know the strengths and weaknesses of national innovation systems in the EU member states, the European Commission released the European Innovation Scoreboard (EIS). The EIS shows that Sweden is the EU’s innovation leader this year.  Data takes into account four types of indicators – Framework conditions, Investments, Innovation activities, and Impacts. Compared to last year, Innovation performance improved for 24 EU countries that have a lead over the US for the first time. These findings can help countries identify areas they need to upgrade.
