AMIRES at the Conference on Polymers and Organic Materials for Electronics and Photonics: Science for Applications (81th PMM)

Elena Turco (AMIRES) presented the concept of pilot lines of the H2020 projects PI-SCALE and InSCOPE and to introduce the objectives of the H2020 SmartEEs project at the Conference on Polymers and Organic Materials for Electronics and Photonics: Science for Applications (81th PMM). The conference brought together a number of highly distinguished interdisciplinary scientists working in the field of molecular and polymeric materials. The objectives were to achieve international cooperation of researchers both from academia and industry and to stimulate the research growth in the field of organic materials for electronics and photonics.

During the conference, several presentations were focused on innovative materials with enhanced electrical, photoelectrical and optical properties. The applications presented during the afternoon session on Tuesday 12 September included smart windows, conductive textiles, nanosilver paints, oil sensors, smart labels and healthcare monitoring devices.

During the presentation “Mass production and applications in Organic Flexible Electronics: pilot lines and use cases” it was highlighted how the concept of pilot lines can be applicable in the materials development field, too. The projects PI-SCALE, InSCOPE and SmartEEs were presented as inspiration for those companies willing to access to services, available at European level, for the development of innovative products and demonstrators.
