AMIRES Deep Tech Team has gone global!
February 13In the last weeks, the AMIRES Deep Tech team has been actively engaged in international collaborations and project advancements.
Below is an overview of key activities and developments:
- PROMISE Quantum Project Launch in Bilbao
Roman Pašek participated in the launch of the PROMISE Quantum (Prototypes of Magnetic Imaging Systems for Europe) project. Coordinated by Xavier Vidal from TECNALIA Research & Innovation, the project aims to revolutionize quantum sensing technology.
- MultiSpin.AI Consortium Meeting in Lisbon
Marina de Souza Faria attended the MultiSpin.AI consortium meeting at INESC Microssistemas e Nanotecnologias. This project focuses on advancing neuromorphic computing by developing a highly efficient n-ary spintronic-based edge computing co-processor capable of executing AI algorithms at higher speeds.
- Progress in Multi-Material 3D Printing in Grenoble
Work continues on modeling residual stresses, thermal history, and melt pool temperatures, with a strategic plan for optimizing multi-material PBF-LB systems.
- SPIE Photonics and Optics Insights from San Francisco
Stefania-Felicia Pavel and Jana Mwangi explored how innovations in photonics, quantum, and optics can address challenges uniquely affecting women. A summary of interviews conducted by Jana Mwangi at SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, is available here. Additionally, Next-2Digits presented its innovative Laser-Induced Forward Transfer (LIFT) process of graphene for advanced photodetectors at SPIE, showcased by the National Technical University of Athens.
- ECOBALLIFE Project Review in Alcoy
Eva Černá attended the ECOBALLIFE project review, focusing on new materials and technologies for high-level protection against a range of threats. The review was successfully conducted by the European Defence Agency, with the consortium hosted by AITEX in Alcoy, Spain, on 5-6 February 2025.
- X-TREME 6G Project Launch in Grenoble
Raphaël Denneulin participated in the launch of the X-TREME 6G project. The official press release is available here.
