An exciting week: Health and Biotech team – AMIRES participated in COMPAMED in Düsseldorf
November 14From November 11th to 14th, 2024, AMIRES participated in COMPAMED in Düsseldorf.
The leading international trade fair for the medical technology supplier sector, is taking place alongside MEDICA, one of the world’s largest medical B2B events. COMPAMED offered a broad platform to showcase innovation, connect with industry leaders, and explore cutting-edge advancements in medical imaging, diagnostics, health IT, and more.
A Warm Welcome at Our Booth
In our booth designed to reflect our expertise and forward-thinking approach, shared with AMIRES long-term partner Betthera, we had the privilege of receiving a wide array of visitors.
It was a pleasure to:
- Re-connect with existing partners and clients
- Strengthening long-standing relationships
- Explore how we can leverage them for future projects.
But mostly, we were excited to engage with new organizations and to expand our partner network for future EU projects! AMIRES team spend a lot of time networking and visiting other exhibitors to discuss potential future cooperation opportunities.
Sharing EU-Funded Innovation
A key focus of our participation was promoting our portfolio of EU-funded projects each making a significant impact on the medical technology landscape. AMIRES is actively supporting following Health innovations in the R+D pipeline:
- UltraSense: Recently launched in September 2024, this project is developing a stretchable multi-sensing platform for comprehensive body composition analysis and decentralized health monitoring.
- ECOTRON: Dedicated to creating eco-friendly, adaptable printed electronics to expand recycling possibilities and reduce environmental impact during production.
- RES-Q+: Building on the Registry of Stroke Care Quality used in 80+ countries, this project improves data collection and analysis to advance stroke care quality worldwide.
- PANCAIM: Integrating genomics, radiomics, and pathomics with AI to enhance personalized medicine for pancreatic cancer.
- Tumor-LN-oC: Developing a tumor-lymph node-on-chip platform to study cancer metastasis and deliver personalized treatment recommendations.
- eCAP Project: Designing a smart capsule with an e-health platform for remote monitoring of GI diseases, improving global diagnostics for GERD.
- NetZeroAICT: Utilizing AI to simulate contrast in CT scans, reducing environmental impacts and health risks associated with traditional contrast imaging.
These projects underscore our commitment to advancing innovation, sustainability, and patient-centered care in healthcare technology.
Staying Ahead of the Curve
Browsing the 17 huge MEDICA and COMPAMED exhibition halls also provided us with a unique chance to stay up to date on the latest technology trends and gain insights into what’s next in medical technology.
From cutting-edge IVD solutions to the transformative potential of AI, AMIRES always tries to stay up to date on innovations that will shape the future of the industry. This knowledge is invaluable as we continue to support our partners and clients toward commercial success and societal impact in a rapidly evolving and competitive landscape.
Networking Beyond the Exhibition Halls
One of the highlights of the week was unquestionably an enjoyable networking dinner in a Düsseldorf brewery, where we shared some delicious traditional German beer and food in a relaxed, smaller group setting. It was an excellent opportunity to deepen connections to our partners, and discuss new ideas in a more informal yet inspiring atmosphere.
A Year in the Making
This event’s great success would not have been possible without the incredible dedication of our team, who spent nearly a year planning and preparing for this moment. From the initial ideas to the flawless execution, their hard work made this week in Düsseldorf a truly memorable and impactful experience.
