We are pleased to announce that the full version of the FlexFunction2Sustain project website is now available (
https://flexfunction2sustain.eu/). Learn more about our goal to establish an Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) to boost innovations for plastic and paper based flexible materials and films. The project aims to integrate the existing European infrastructures into an ecosystem, which will be able to operate in open access mode and serve customers from along the value chain. On our webpage, the users can discover information on the technical facilities that will be upgraded for processing of novel sustainable plastic materials and paper. Their new functionalities will be demonstrated in relevant industrial use cases covering various application areas such as sustainable smart packaging, plastic and paper electronics, surfaces and membranes in bio application and optical film for security and design. In the second phase of the project, the service portfolio will be subsequently verified and demonstrated by 20 pre-commercial pilot cases. Therefore, on the “Open Calls” section, all interested SMEs and industries can sign up to receive the latest information for the competitive calls, foreseen for January 2022 and January 2023.
