Let’s Re-BOOSTER and Re-start: Project Relaunch with New Leadership

October 17

BOOSTER project has officially restarted!

We are excited to announce that the BOOSTER project has officially restarted, effective retroactively from October 1, 2024. During the suspension, the project underwent a restructuring of activities and tasks to ensure a more efficient continuation towards our goals.

In this new phase, FRAUNHOFER FEP has taken over project coordination from ARMOR. The new coordinator, Dr. Matthias Fahland, Head of Business Unit and Head of Department for R2R Technologies, brings:

  • Extensive expertise in both the field of organic photovoltaics
  • EU-funded project management, ensuring smooth leadership as we move forward.

We welcome ASCA GmbH & Co. KG, who will lead the OPV Module Manufacturing and Encapsulation work package, contributing to the advancement of OPV technologies.

To ensure the ambitious goals of the BOOSTER project are met, the project has been extended, bringing the total duration to 78 months.

This extension will enable the achievement of the project’s objectives and the delivery of meaningful results. Particularly, in the field of Building Applied Photovoltaics (BAPV)—which involves integrating flexible organic photovoltaic films onto buildings to generate renewable energy through retrofitted rooftops and facades.

We look forward to this exciting new chapter and to continuing our work in advancing sustainable energy solutions through innovative OPV technologies.
