The future EU programme for 2021-2027

The European Parliament endorsed the provisional agreement on HORIZON EUROPE, the next EU research and innovation programme for the next period from 2021 to 2027. The adoption and proposed budged of €94.1 billion for R&D are subject of formal approval by new members of the European Parliament. HORIZON EUROPE will feature a Three-Pillar-Structure similar to Horizon 2020 with some changes to content and priorities to carry on making the difference in the society. Carlos Moedas the European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation also expressed support for Horizon EU on his Twitter account saying that investing in research and innovation is investing in Europe’s future, in knowledge and new solutions to maintain and improve the European way of life.
